Andrea Naested

Andrea has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s practice since joining the firm in 2001. Andrea represents school districts, community college districts and special districts in collective bargaining negotiations, in many different types of administrative hearings, in litigation in state and federal forums, and has successfully defended cases through jury verdict and on appeal. On a daily basis, she advises clients on a wide variety of issues including labor and employment matters, student discipline, special education matters, the Ralph M. Brown Act, the California Public Records Act and First Amendment issues. Andrea has achieved a clear record of success for our clients faced with some of the most challenging public school issues.

Andrea graduated with honors with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. She graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1997. Andrea represented hotels, casinos, and school district employers in Nevada in labor and employment issues before joining a labor and employment law firm in Washington, D.C. Andrea returned to settle in San Diego and joined Currier & Hudson in 2001.
